Job summary

FL PRECISION (M) SDN.BHD. is seeking a skilled operator to buff, polish, and finish aluminium parts in accordance with work instructions and specifications. You will operate buffing machines and related tools safely and efficiently.

Duties include inspecting parts for scratches, dents, or other defects to ensure surfaces meet quality standards. You will handle components carefully, maintain equipment, report abnormalities, and follow contamination-control and cleanroom procedures where required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating buffing machines and polishing equipment.
• Ability to inspect aluminium parts for defects.

Job description

Perform buffing, polishing, and surface finishing on aluminium parts according to work instructions and specifications.

Operate buffing machines, polishing equipment, and related tools safely and efficiently.

Remove minor surface scratches, burrs, oxidation marks, and other imperfections where permitted by the process requirements.

Surface Quality Inspection

Inspect finished aluminium parts for scratches, dents, stains, uneven surfaces, and other visible defects.

Ensure the surface finish meets the required quality standards and customer specifications.

Identify and report abnormal conditions or defective parts to the supervisor or QC Inspector.

Part Handling and Protection

Handle aluminium components carefully to prevent scratches, dents, contamination, and other damage.

Ensure parts are properly positioned and secured during buffing operations.

Use appropriate gloves, protective materials, and handling methods as required by the work instructions.

Machine Operation and Maintenance

Check buffing machines, polishing wheels, and tools before starting work.

Ensure polishing wheels and consumables are in suitable condition.

Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance as instructed.

Report equipment abnormalities, damage, or breakdowns to the supervisor.

Cleaning and Contamination Control

Remove buffing residues, dust, and polishing compounds from components according to approved procedures.

Ensure finished parts are clean and ready for the next production process.

Follow contamination-control and cleanroom requirements where applicable.
