JHY Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a motivated Bridge Construction Equipment Design Engineer to join our team in Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. As the Malaysian subsidiary of Tianjin Shijiliheng Industry Co., Ltd. (TJSJLH), an international engineering group established in 2008 with operations in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia, we specialise in bridge erection and construction equipment, as well as infrastructure engineering services.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and designing bridge prefab launching equipment tailored to meet client specifications and regional requirements by utilising AutoCAD or other design tools to create detailed schematics, layouts and specifications. Act as a technical expert, providing support to clients, sales teams, and installation teams on system functionality, integration, and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design bridge prefab launching equipment such as launching gantries, beam launchers, and incremental launchers tailored to meet client specifications and regional requirements using AutoCAD or other design tools to create detailed schematics, layouts and specifications
• Provide technical support to clients, sales teams, and installation teams on system functionality, integration, and troubleshooting
• Collaborate with clients to understand their unique needs and translate them into viable technical solutions
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturing and project team during execution projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with quality standards
• Implement and enforce quality control measures in the design and application processes to ensure the reliability and safety of material handling equipment
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to guarantee compliance with industry standards

About you

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 2-5 years of related working experience in designing mechanical systems, preferably in the design of engineered cranes
• Field experience in the design of engineered cranes
• Proven experience in managing the design process from concept to execution, including project management responsibilities
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools, to create detailed schematics and layouts
• Strong engineering analysis skills to assess the feasibility and performance of engineered cranes
• Knowledge of relevant software and technologies used in the design and application of mechanical systems
