Job summary

Powertechnic Handling Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd in Kulai, Johor, is seeking a Design Engineer to design and draw lifting equipment according to client requirements and industry best practices. You will produce detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical specs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and collaborate with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure smooth implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Mandarin speaking ability (encouraged to have).
• Minimum 3 years of design/project engineering experience in handling equipment.
• Proficient in CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Designing and drawing lifting equipment solutions based on client requirements and industry best practices.

• Liaise with JKKP for registration and related requirements.
• Collaborating with the manufacturing/production team to ensure smooth implementation of design solutions.

What You'll Be Doing ?

Designing and drawing lifting equipment solutions based on client requirements and along with the company / industry best practices.

Producing detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications for the internal manufacturing / production department using AutoCAD & SolidWorks.

Liaise with JKKP for registration and learning how to handle with this specialized governing body as we are the specialized \"Lifting Company\" bringing the \"The Power Of Lift\" everywhere

Collaborating with the manufacturing / production team to ensure smooth implementation of design solutions.

Working with the installation teams and also the sales executives for any design related progression works.

Providing technical support and advice to internal teams and external clients as needed.

What You'll Need To Have :

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field / equivalent.

Mandarin speaking ability (encouraged to have but not compulsory). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar design / project engineering role, preferably in the handling equipment industry.

Proficient in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for design and modelling.

Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
