As a Senior Design Engineer you will be supporting the Design Manager in driving design execution, consultant management, and technical deliverables and submission from tender through project delivery. This role ensures all design submissions, authority approvals, and site-level engineering solutions meet project schedules and quality standards.

Job Descriptions

Manage delivery schedules with clients and design consultants, tracking submission milestones, monitor and track design progress and maintaining real-time updates on design status.

Assist Design Manager in liaison among authorities, design consultants, ICE and/or subcontractors on the technical issues related to design, including to manage or mediate the comments in design and/or temporary work design submission reviewing process to ensure timely closed up by all parties.

Assist and support the Design Manager in all matters including design review, drawing management, technical reviews, drawing control, interface management, and the preparation of progress reports, method statements, work procedures, presentation and coordination.

Formulate and implement engineering solutions to resolve design-related issues and technical bottlenecks on the construction site.

Cooperate and communicate effectively with all team members and other stakeholders to monitor the design progress in order to ensure timely delivery.

Provide engineering idea/solution to solve problems arise on construction site related to design.

Assist Design Manager in tender preparation and project submissions, and collaborate with the contracts department on material take-offs and bills of quantities.

Represent the design team in project meetings, maintain effective cross-functional communication to secure timely deliverables, and fulfill ad-hoc technical assignments as directed by leadership.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or an equivalent accredited discipline.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in civil/structural design or construction engineering with proven design coordination oversight.

Technical expertise and demonstrated knowledge in civil, structural, or geotechnical design principles.

Work experience on major infrastructure projects (e.g., roads, bridges, tunnels, underground structures, rail/metro railway) is strongly preferred.

High proficiency in technical problem-solving, document control management, and delivering under tight project schedules with minimal supervision.
