We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead and manage our retail operations at our Taiping, Perak location. As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, ensuring profitability, and maintaining our reputation as a leading gadget retailer. This role is crucial to our expansion strategy and your success will directly impact the performance of the store and the wider organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of retail staff, providing training, coaching, and performance management to achieve sales targets and customer service standards
• Drive sales performance and revenue growth by implementing effective sales strategies, promotional campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, and stock rotation to ensure product availability whilst minimising waste and shrinkage
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store environment is clean, well-organised, and conducive to customer experience
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing concerns and feedback to enhance customer loyalty and satisfaction
• Monitor financial performance, manage budgets, and ensure cost-effective operations whilst maintaining profitability targets
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations, and implement best practices within the branch
• Report regularly to senior management on branch performance, achievements, and challenges
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members as required

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in the electronics, gadgets, or technology sector
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Excellent customer service orientation with the ability to build strong customer relationships
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and point-of-sale systems
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and cost control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues and senior management
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
• Proficiency in English and Malay (both written and verbal)
• A valid driving licence is desirable
