Manjoy Gadget Malaysia Sdn Bhd is hiring a Sales Assistant for our Seri Manjung, Perak store. You will deliver excellent customer service, guide customers through gadget selections and drive sales in a busy retail environment.

Role focuses on building lasting relationships, accurate POS transactions, and maintaining appealing displays while contributing to hitting sales targets and delivering great customer care.

Qualifications

• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
• Enthusiasm for technology and gadgets with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent numerical and cash handling skills with attention to detail.
• Able to work in a team and also take initiative.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends/public holidays.
• Fluent in English and Malay; additional languages a plus.
• Honest, reliable and punctual.
• Legally eligible to work in Malaysia.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join the team at Manjoy Gadget Malaysia Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Seri Manjung, Perak. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales within our retail environment. You will be the face of our brand, helping customers find the perfect gadgets and electronics whilst building lasting relationships that encourage repeat business. This position is essential to our success, as you will directly contribute to achieving our sales targets and maintaining our reputation for outstanding customer care.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly upon arrival and provide expert guidance on our range of gadgets and electronics
• Assist customers in selecting products that meet their specific needs and preferences
• Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash and card payments
• Provide detailed product information, including features, specifications, and pricing
• Build strong customer relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat visits
• Maintain the shop floor by keeping displays clean, organised and fully stocked
• Answer customer enquiries via telephone and in person with professionalism and courtesy
• Handle customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner, resolving issues effectively
• Support the team in achieving daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
• Remain knowledgeable about current products, promotions and pricing
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

What we're looking for

• Previous retail or customer service experience in the electronics or gadget industry is preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers
• Enthusiasm for technology and gadgets with a genuine interest in learning about new products
• Excellent numerical and cash handling skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work as part of a team whilst also taking initiative independently
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction
• Flexibility to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays as required
• Fluency in English and Malay; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
• Honest, reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards work
• Valid identification and the ability to legally work in Malaysia
