- Assist the Sales Team in organising design information into a complete Title Block.
- Ensure that the Title Block contains all information required for Cabinet Vision modelling and BOM Drawing preparation.
- Clearly identify items that are still pending confirmation or require customer confirmation.
- Check for discrepancies between design drawings, site dimensions, and the Title Block.
- Update and complete the Title Block based on the final confirmed information.
2. Cabinetry Technical Support
- Assist the Sales Team in resolving cabinetry-related technical issues during customer communication.
- Evaluate whether cabinet dimensions, structures, door panels, hardware, and accessories are suitable and practical.
- Identify technical issues in advance that may affect appearance, functionality, or installation.
- Propose practical adjustments for designs that are unreasonable or difficult to execute.
- Clearly explain technical limitations and possible solutions to the Sales Team.
- When technical changes may affect appearance, pricing, or customer requirements, assist the Sales Team in organising the items that require reconfirmation.
3. Cabinet Vision Drawing
- Create accurate Cabinet Vision models based on confirmed design information.
- Ensure that cabinet combinations, door panels, drawers, shelves, hardware, and internal accessories are correctly modelled.
- Select the appropriate cabinet structure according to the Company's product series and cabinet standards.
- Review the material and cabinet information generated by Cabinet Vision.
- Record issues identified during the use of Cabinet Vision and propose improvement suggestions.
4. BOM Drawing & Technical Documentation
- Prepare BOM Drawings based on the Cabinet Vision model and confirmed Title Block.
- Accurately list all required boards, door panels, hardware, accessories, and special materials.
- Check that dimensions, structures, materials, and accessories are complete and correct.
- Ensure that all special requirements confirmed by the customer are reflected in the relevant drawings and documents.
- Coordinate with the BOM Team to carry out drawing cross-checks.
- Assist in developing standard cabinets and commonly used templates in Cabinet Vision.
- Assist in organising the Company's commonly used materials, hardware, accessories, and cabinet structures.
- Gradually standardise frequently repeated designs and technical solutions.
- Assist in developing Title Block Checklists, Cabinet Vision Checklists, and technical standards.
- Propose improvements and preventive actions for recurring issues.
- Assist in increasing the use of Cabinet Vision for suitable projects.
6. Cross-Department Communication
- Work closely with the Sales Team, Interior Design Team, BOM Team, Project/Site Team, Purchasing Team, Installation Team, and other relevant departments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for carrying out the duties and tasks assigned under the BOM Technical Executive position.
- Ensure assigned technical work is completed accurately and according to the Company's requirements and procedures.
- Provide the necessary technical support related to the duties stated above.
- Carry out other related or ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management or Superior from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Working Experience
- Experience in custom cabinetry, furniture design, furniture technical drawing, or interior fit-out work.
- Experience with kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, or custom furniture will be an advantage.
- Experience in preparing Technical Drawings, Shop Drawings, BOM Drawings, or Production Drawings will be an advantage.
- Experience in assisting the Sales Team or Interior Designer in resolving technical issues will be an advantage.
Software Skills
- Able to use AutoCAD or other relevant technical drawing software.
- Candidates are not required to be proficient in Cabinet Vision before joining.
- Candidates with Cabinet Vision experience will be given preference.
- Candidates without Cabinet Vision experience may also apply if they possess good cabinetry technical knowledge and strong software learning ability.
- Candidates must be willing to undergo Cabinet Vision training after joining and achieve the Company's required competency level.
Technical Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of cabinet construction.
- Ability to read interior design drawings and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with common board materials, door panels, hardware, and internal cabinet accessories.
- Ability to assess whether cabinet dimensions, structures, and designs are practical and suitable.
- Ability to identify missing, unclear, or conflicting information in design drawings.
- Ability to convert design information into executable technical drawings and BOM information.
- Good technical analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to dimensions and technical details.
- Ability to clearly explain technical issues to the Sales Team.
- Willingness to learn new software and work processes.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to follow through on issues until completion.
