Job summary

The Goodnite is seeking an experienced cabinet designer in Malaysia to design and engineer cabinetry using Cabinet Vision and related tools. You will produce production drawings, BOMs, cutting lists, and CNC-ready data, while maintaining libraries and parametric rules for efficient manufacturing.

You will ensure designs are practical for production, troubleshoot design-to-mfg issues, and collaborate with production, CNC, purchasing, project management and installation teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Furniture Design, Woodworking, Manufacturing, Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of cabinet, furniture, joinery or millwork experience.
• Strong Cabinet Vision experience preferred.
• Experience with Microvellum, Mozaik, 2020 Design, PolyBoard or similar software is also considered.
• Good knowledge of cabinet construction, sheet materials, hardware, hinges and drawer systems.
• Factory/manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.
• Able to read architectural, interior design and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience customizing Cabinet Vision databases, catalogs and rules is a major advantage.
• CNC and post-processor knowledge is an advantage.
• Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia are advantageous.
