Job summary

Rainbow Pellet Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, seeks an experienced Boilerman (Gred B/Level 2) to join our operations team. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation and monitoring of our industrial steam boiler system to support production.

You will conduct preventative maintenance, track readings, ensure DOSH compliance, and coordinate with the production team to maintain continuous operations in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Valid Boilerman Grade B/ Level 2 certification or equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant authority.
• Minimum of 3–5 years' experience operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems.
• Strong knowledge of boiler operations, pressure vessel safety and water treatment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely start up, operate, and shut down steam boiler systems and auxiliary equipment.
• Continuously monitor pressure, water levels, temperatures and fuel supply to ensure production.
• Test boiler feed water properties and apply treatments to prevent corrosion or scale buildup.
• Identify and troubleshoot boiler malfunctions and perform routine maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Record accurate logs of boiler operations, hourly readings and maintenance activities.
• Prepare boiler room for annual DOSH inspection and ensure compliance.

About the role

Rainbow Pellet Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced Boilerman (Gred B/Level 2) to join our operations team in Kuala Lipis, Pahang.

This is a full‑time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency and safety of our boiler systems, which are essential to our manufacturing and production processes. As a Boilerman, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our industrial steam boiler system. You will be fully responsible for monitoring boiler parameters, conducting preventative maintenance, and complying with all DOSH (JKKP) regulations, which directly impacts our production capabilities and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Operations: Safely start up, operate, and shut down steam boiler systems and auxiliary equipment (compressors, water pumps).


• Safety Monitoring: Continuously monitor pressure, water levels, temperatures, and fuel supply to ensure smooth production with operational specifications.


• Water Treatment: Test boiler feed water chemical properties daily and apply treatments to prevent corrosion or scale buildup.


• Maintenance & Repair: Identifying and troubleshooting boiler malfunctions and implementing corrective measures, carry out routine maintenance, clear fireside areas, lubrication and component checks and execute first‑level troubleshooting or minor mechanical repairs to minimise downtime.


• Logbook Management: Recording and maintaining accurate logs of boiler operations, updated hourly readings, fuels consumption and maintenance activities in the official boiler logbook.


• DOSH Compliance: Keep the boiler room clean, manage documentation, and prepare systems for annual DOSH overhaul and inspection.


• Communication: Communicating effectively with the production team to ensure seamless coordination of boiler operations with manufacturing schedule.

What we are looking for

• Valid Boilerman Grade B/ Level 2 certification or equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant authority


• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems


• Strong knowledge of boiler operations, pressure vessel safety and water treatment procedures


• Proficiency in reading and interpreting boiler specifications, technical manuals and operational guidelines


• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate operational records and logs


• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations pertaining to boiler operations and industrial settings


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment


• Physical fitness and capability to perform tasks that may involve standing for extended periods and working in warm conditions


• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to operational issues


• Experience in the pellet manufacturing or similar industrial sectors is an advantage
