Job summary

Chuen Cheong Food Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Boilerman to join our Senai Johor facility. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation of our boiler systems to support food manufacturing.

We require a valid Boilerman certification and 2–3 years of boiler operation experience, with a strong grasp of safety regulations and steam generation. The position is full-time and on-site, with opportunities for maintenance work and energy efficiency improvements.

Qualifications

• Boilerman certification valid and recognized by the regulatory authority.
• 2–3 years of industrial boiler operation and maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of boiler operation, water treatment and steam generation.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and pressure vessel codes.
• Ability to read technical docs and operate boiler control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler systems to maintain steam pressure and temperature.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on boiler equipment.
• Record daily boiler performance, fuel use, water levels and data.
• Clean, service and adjust boiler components including burners and valves.
• Respond promptly to alarms and malfunctions with corrective actions.
• Maintain records of maintenance, repairs and performance metrics.
• Ensure safety procedures and regulatory requirements are followed.
• Coordinate with production to ensure steam availability.
• Identify energy efficiency improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Chuen Cheong Food Industries (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Boilerman to join our operations team at our facility in Senai Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining our steam generation and boiler systems, which are essential to our food manufacturing operations. As Boilerman, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our boiler equipment, ensuring uninterrupted production and compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. This position is integral to our operational success and directly impacts the quality and consistency of our manufacturing output.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler systems to maintain optimal steam pressure, temperature and water levels
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on all boiler equipment and associated machinery
• Perform daily log entries recording boiler performance, fuel consumption, water levels and operational data
• Clean, service and adjust boiler components including burners, nozzles, valves and safety relief systems
• Respond promptly to equipment alarms and malfunctions, implementing corrective measures and troubleshooting issues
• Maintain accurate records of boiler maintenance, repairs and performance metrics
• Ensure all safety protocols and operational procedures are followed in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with production team members regarding steam availability and any operational constraints
• Identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements and cost savings
• Support senior technicians with preventative maintenance and equipment upgrades as required

What we are looking for

• Valid Boilerman certification and recognized by the relevant regulatory authority
• Minimum 2-3 years of proven experience operating and maintaining industrial boiler systems
• Strong knowledge of boiler operation, water treatment, fuel systems and steam generation principles
• Sound understanding of safety regulations, pressure vessel codes and occupational safety standards
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, equipment manuals and operational procedures
• Proficiency in using boiler monitoring and control systems
• Excellent attention to detail with strong record-keeping and documentation skills
• Capability to work independently whilst maintaining effective communication with team members
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks, work in varying temperature conditions and lift heavy materials
• Flexibility to work shifts including early mornings and weekend duties as required
• Preferred: Experience in food manufacturing or similar processing industries
• Preferred: Knowledge of chemical water treatment systems and boiler fuel efficiency optimization
