Job summary

GOH BROTHERS MOTOR (GB) SDN. BHD. is seeking a seasoned B&P Workshop Manager in Ipoh, Malaysia, to oversee Body & Paint operations and lead a diverse team of technicians and administrative staff.

You will monitor progress, ensure quality, and liaise on insurance claims to support timely repairs. The role requires a Diploma or higher in Automotive Body Repair, at least 5 years in B&P operations and 2 years in a supervisory position, with strong leadership and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Automotive Body Repair or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in automotive Body & Paint operations.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of panel beating, spray painting, accident repairs and insurance claim procedures.
• Good leadership, team management and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of workshop operations, productivity, cost control and profitability.
• Good communication, negotiation and customer service skills.
• Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet business targets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the Body & Paint operations for smooth workshop performance.
• Lead, supervise and manage B&P technicians, panel beaters, spray painters and administrative staff.
• Monitor daily workshop operations, repair progress, productivity and job completion timelines.
• Ensure all vehicle repairs and painting works meet manufacturer standards and quality requirements.
• Manage accident repair quotations, insurance claims and liaise with insurance companies and adjusters.
• Monitor departmental revenue, costs, manpower planning and overall profitability.
• Drive customer satisfaction by ensuring timely repairs, quality workmanship and effective complaint resolution.
• Develop operational improvements, enforce workplace safety standards and achieve departmental targets.
