Job summary

SmartHire by SEEK is seeking a Sales Engineer in Malaysia to drive growth in BMS/EMS and HVAC spaces. You will combine technical expertise with client engagement to design and deliver tailored engineering solutions.

Responsibilities include identifying opportunities, engaging clients, delivering technical presentations, and collaborating with internal teams to support solution design and implementation. Travel for client meetings is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years in Sales Engineering or Technical Sales.
• Exposure to BMS, EMS, HVAC, or Building Automation is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to clients.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into practical business solutions.
• Self-driven, results-oriented, and able to work independently.
• Willing to travel for client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities in BMS, EMS, and HVAC solutions.
• Engage with clients to understand technical needs and propose customized solutions.
• Deliver technical presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to support design and implementation.
• Provide pre‑sales and post‑sales technical support to ensure client satisfaction.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
