Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a junior BIM Modeller with 1–2 years of experience to create, update and maintain 3D BIM models for construction projects. You will ensure model accuracy, clash detection, and collaboration with architects and engineers to integrate design changes.

The role requires proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks, with a basic understanding of ISO 19650 standards. This position offers a clear path for growth in BIM within a dynamic design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Strong BIM software proficiency (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks).
• Basic understanding of BIM standards (ISO 19650, COBie).
• Clash detection and coordination experience preferred.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Building Information Modelling (BIM) principles and software, with a passion for creating accurate and efficient 3D models for construction and design projects. This role is perfect for someone with 1-2 years of experience looking to grow their career in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, update, and maintain 3D BIM models using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
• Ensure models are accurate, clash-free, and compliant with project standards and requirements.
• Collaboration and Coordination
  • Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate design changes and resolve conflicts in the BIM model.
  • Participate in coordination meetings and provide input to improve project outcomes.
• Documentation and Detailing
  • Generate 2D drawings, schedules, and reports from BIM models for construction documentation.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and project deadlines.
• Clash Detection and Resolution
  • Perform clash detection using tools like Navisworks and collaborate with the team to resolve issues.
• BIM Standards and Best Practices
  • Adhere to company and industry BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.
  • Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and methodologies.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650, COBie).
  • Familiarity with clash detection and coordination processes.
  • Certification / Module in BIM software (Optional).

Experience

Junior with 1-2 years of experience in BIM modelling or a related role.
