Job summary

Hexatech Engineering Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a BIM modeller to develop, update and maintain accurate BIM models and M&E shop drawings based on project requirements and design inputs.

The successful candidate will coordinate with project managers, engineers and BIM coordinators, perform drawing checks, assist with clash detection, and help prepare BOMs and submission records.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of BIM modelling experience in M&E or related projects.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently with engineers and project teams.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain BIM models and M&E shop drawings per project requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate 2D drawings, 3D models, and CSD for M&E services.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, BIM coordinators, and stakeholders to incorporate changes.
• Perform drawing checks to ensure accuracy and BIM standard compliance.
• Assist in clash detection and update BIM models from site information and changes.
• Prepare BOM, quantities, schedules from BIM models.
• Maintain drawing records and support submission/approval processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Develop, update, and maintain accurate BIM models and M&E shop drawings based on project requirements, specifications, and design inputs.
• Prepare and coordinate 2D drawings, 3D models, Combined Services Drawings (CSD), and construction documentation for M&E services.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, BIM Coordinators, and relevant stakeholders to incorporate design changes, comments, and revisions.
• Perform drawing checking and quality control to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements and BIM standards.
• Assist in clash detection and coordination, and update BIM models based on site information, red‑line mark‑ups, and approved changes.
• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM), quantities, schedules, and other information required from BIM models.
• Maintain proper drawing records, model files, submission lists, and drawing status, and support the project team in shop drawing submission and approval processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Management or immediate supervisor.

Requirement:

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Drafting, BIM, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant BIM modelling experience in M&E, architectural, construction, or related projects; fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit; BIM certification or relevant Revit certification is an added advantage.
• Good understanding of M&E systems, shop drawings, construction drawings, and BIM modelling.
• Knowledge of clash detection, drawing coordination, and Combined Services Drawings (CSD) is an advantage.Detail‑oriented, organised, and able to work independently and coordinate effectively with engineers and project teams.
• Good communication skills with a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to meet project deadlines.
