Job summary

Surbana Jurong Malaysia is seeking a BIM/CAD Drafter to produce drawings on CAD and BIM Revit for MEP projects. You will work to deadlines set by the Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager and maintain the quality of production.

You will prepare and update 3D BIM models for CSD submissions, create 2D drawings from BIM models according to drafting standards and the submission schedule, and maintain records including clash reports, RFIs, and the BIM register in line with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Producing drawings on CAD and BIM Revit for MEP works.
• Ensure timely production and meet project deadlines.
• Maintain and ensure quality of production.
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for CSD submissions.
• Create 2D drawings from BIM models per drafting standards and submission schedule.
• Maintain records of models/drawings, clash reports, RFIs, and BIM register per ISO standards.
• Back up drawings regularly and perform housekeeping.
• Participate in CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers; track issues.
• Support project presentations with BIM models and related activities.
• Work under BIM Manager and report progress to Project Manager.
• Share knowledge and foster team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality of production and compliance with drafting standards.
• Update 3D BIM models for CSD submissions and related deliverables.
• Generate 2D drawings from BIM models in line with office standards.
• Maintain records, clash reports, RFIs, and BIM register per ISO procedures.
• Perform regular backups and maintain directory housekeeping.
• Participate in CSD coordination meetings and follow up on issues.
• Assist the project team with BIM-related presentations.
• Report progress regularly to the Project Manager.
• Collaborate with teammates and share knowledge.

• Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works
• Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
• Responsible for the quality of production
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD models for submissions
• Participate in the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner.
• Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
• Participate the CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers. Define all the CSD issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly. Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model update
• Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM Model and related activities
• Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on the progress of assigned project works
• Knowledge sharing with others, team working spirit
