Job summary

Surbana Jurong is seeking a BIM CAD Technician to produce drawings on CAD and BIM Revit models for MEP works in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will work toward deadlines set by the Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager and ensure the quality of production.

You will prepare 3D BIM models for CSD submissions and develop 2D drawings from BIM, maintaining records and coordinating with engineers and designers. You will back up drawings regularly, participate in CSD meetings, and follow up on BIM updates,

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings on CAD and BIM Revit models for MEP works.
• Work toward deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager.
• Responsible for the quality of production.
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD models for submissions.
• Produce 2D drawings from BIM models according to drafting standards and submission schedule.
• Maintain records of issued/received models, clash reports, RFIs, BIM Register per ISO standards; ensure on-time completion.
• Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping.
• Participate in CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers.
• Define CSD issues and distribute them accordingly.
• Follow up with project team on CSD and BIM model updates.
• Support presentations with BIM Model and related activities.
• Work under supervision of BIM Manager; report progress to Project Manager.

• Production of drawings on CAD and BIM Revit model for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) works
• Working towards deadlines set by Project Manager or CAD/BIM Manager
• Responsible for the quality of production
• Prepare and update 3D BIM models for development of CSD models for submissions
• Participate in the production of 2D drawings from BIM models with accuracy ensuring drawings produced are according to the Office or the Client’s Drafting Standards and Procedures, and the drawing submission schedule is achieved
• Maintain proper records of all issued & received models/drawings, Clash Reports, RFIs, BIM Register in accordance with the company’s ISO Standards and Procedures and ensure all the drawings are completed on schedule or in a timely manner
• Perform regular drawing backups and housekeeping work in the directory
• Participate the CSD coordination meetings with engineers and designers
• Define all the CSD issues, prepare and distribute the issues accordingly
• Follow up with the project team on CSD and BIM model update
• Support Project Team for Presentations with BIM Model and related activities
• Work under the supervision of BIM Manager and perform work task assigned
• Report regularly to the Project Manager on the progress of assigned project works
• Knowledge sharing with others, team working spirit
