Job summary

Starhub Ltd. in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia seeks a Finance Executive to lead automation initiatives, resolve billing queries and drive process improvements. You will train teammates, liaise with offshore delivery centers and collaborate with internal and external partners on ongoing operations.

The role requires at least 2-3 years in billing, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication. A background in shared services or Telco is an advantage but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in billing function.
• Ability to resolve issues with business and systems constraints vs accounting requirements.
• Demonstrates emotional resilience and can work under pressure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with independence to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Shared services management or Telco experience is an advantage but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive automation initiatives and continuous process improvement on top of resolving billing enquiries and disputes.
• Provide training, support and guidance to team members.
• Serve as liaison to offshore delivery center and collaborate with internal and external Partners on operational activities; may involve data analysis and ad-hoc initiatives.
• Review policies and procedures to stay current with regulations and technology and align with industry best practices.
• Ensure completeness and verification of bills in a timely and accurate manner.
• Analyze application forms and prepare/verify data for billing and adjustments.
• Ensure financial integrity of billing systems.
• Monitor service delivery KPIs and report issues using SLA as anchor and perform quality review.
• Participate in scoping and UAT on Billing System areas; support ad hoc Billing Operations duties.
