Pekat Solar Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor in Malaysia to manage construction project costs from initial calculations through final figures. The role focuses on minimizing costs while meeting required standards and quality.

Mandarin speaking is a must for client communication. Responsibilities include BOM/BOQ verification, preparing cost estimates and tender documents, and coordinating with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or quantity surveying.
• 2–5 years’ experience in related field.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; AutoCAD advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with the Design Department.
• Analyse and verify Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and quotations.
• Prepare costing and tender documents for commercial aspects.
• Prepare costing and quotations for projects based on BOM and new requirements.
• Check BOM items to ensure quantities are correct.
• Revise costs and quotations as required.
• Liaise on technical matters with suppliers.
• Request Tender Bond and purchase of tender documents.
