Job summary

NES Fircroft in Malaysia is seeking a Bid Manager to lead the full-cycle proposal process for highly complex projects in the energy sector, targeting a six-week turnaround.

You will receive RFQs and technical specs, perform compression design with the in-house tool, select components, prepare the technical and commercial proposals, and coordinate with sub-vendors to obtain accurate costing, then present to the customer.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review RFQs and technical specifications from customers (note: a Bid Manager may receive 3-4 complex RFQs at one time)
• Execute compression selection and design using in-house tool, requiring thorough understanding of the basis of compression
• Select the required components for compression, prepare the technical offering for the compressor complete train, and send RFQs to sub-vendors/our internal factory to obtain accurate costing
• Compile data into a comprehensive technical and commercial proposal to present to the customer

Role Overview

These Bid Managers handle highly complex projects, with 80% of their focus on the energy industry. They are responsible for executing the full-cycle proposal process within a 6-week target turnaround time.

Core Responsibilities & Workflow:

• Receive and review RFQs and technical specifications from customers (Note: A Bid Manager may receive 3-4 complex RFQ at one time)


• The Bid manager has to Execute compression selection and design using in house tool, that is why It is critical that the candidate thoroughly understands the basis of compression.


• Select the required components for compression, and then prepare the technical offering for the compressor complete train, and send RFQs to sub-vendors/our internal factory to obtain accurate costing, etc.


• Compile all data into a comprehensive technical and commercial proposal to present to the customer.
