Job summary

GREEN PYRAMID SDN BHD in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is seeking an experienced Bartender for a full-time, on-site role. You will craft beverages, greet guests, and maintain bar standards.

You will operate the till, manage stock, follow health and safety rules, and work with the team to deliver exceptional hospitality, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Bartender to join the team at GREEN PYRAMID SDN BHD in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining the high standards of our bar operations. As a Bartender, you will be at the heart of our hospitality offering, crafting quality beverages, engaging with guests, and ensuring our bar operates smoothly and professionally. This position requires you to be on-site at our Kota Kinabalu location to provide direct service to our guests.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and serving a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, shots, wines, spirits and beers, following established recipes and presentation standards

Greeting guests warmly and providing knowledgeable recommendations based on their preferences and tastes

Operating the till system accurately and processing payments, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly

Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked bar environment, including glassware, bottles, garnishes and bar tools

Adhering to all health, safety and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices

Building rapport with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and encourage repeat business

Collaborating with bar staff and other team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods

Following company policies and procedures whilst maintaining professional standards at all times

Monitoring inventory levels and communicating restocking needs to management

What we’re looking for

Previous experience working as a Bartender or in a similar bar and beverage role within a hospitality setting

Strong knowledge of cocktail recipes, mixing techniques and drink presentations

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests in a friendly and professional manner

Proficiency in operating point-of-sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions accurately

Good understanding of responsible alcohol service and local licensing regulations

Physical stamina and the ability to work comfortably during extended standing shifts

Strong teamwork and communication abilities to work effectively with colleagues

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation

Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

A positive attitude and genuine passion for delivering excellent hospitality
