Job summary

Pullman Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia, is seeking a friendly Bartender to join its busy hotel bar. You will prepare cocktails, serve beverages and deliver professional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

With 1–2 years’ experience in hospitality, you will maintain bar stock, handle guest requests, and support events under the supervision of F&B management. Local Sarawakian candidates preferred; shifts and holidays required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a bartender in a hotel, restaurant or bar.
• Knowledge of cocktails and basic bartending techniques.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Positive, friendly, service-oriented attitude.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Open to Malaysian candidates, preferably local Sarawakian.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests.
• Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to hotel standards.
• Take beverage orders accurately and attend to guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas.
• Ensure sufficient mise en place, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies are available.
• Monitor beverage stock and assist with inventory and stock-taking.
• Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.
• Handle cash and billing transactions accurately when required.
• Minimise wastage and breakage and ensure proper portion control.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain good knowledge of the beverage menu and assist guests with recommendations.
• Support the team during events, functions and busy service periods.
• Ensure compliance with hotel and Accor standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Management.
