Job summary

Pullman Kuching under Accor Hotels is seeking a Bartender to join the hotel bar team. You will prepare and serve beverages, ensuring consistency with standards and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced luxury setting.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in bartending, strong knowledge of cocktails, and excellent customer service. Local Sarawakian candidates are preferred, and flexibility to work weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Bartender in a hotel, restaurant or bar.
• Knowledge of cocktails, beverages and basic bartending techniques.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Positive, friendly and service-oriented attitude.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good team player with a willingness to learn.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Open to Malaysian candidates only; preferably local Sarawakian.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
• Provide friendly and professional service to guests.
• Ensure drinks are prepared consistently and presented according to hotel standards.
• Take beverage orders accurately and attend to guest requests.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar and service areas.
• Monitor beverage stock and assist with inventory and stock-taking.
• Follow proper procedures for opening and closing the bar.
• Handle cash and billing transactions accurately when required.
• Minimise wastage and breakage and ensure proper portion control.
• Comply with food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards.
• Maintain good knowledge of the beverage menu and assist guests with recommendations.
• Support the team during events, functions and busy service periods.
• Ensure compliance with hotel and Accor standards, policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the F&B Management.
