Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Desaru Coast is seeking a Bartender to join the Food & Beverage team. The role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and well-stocked bar, and delivering exceptional guest service in a luxury setting.

You will need knowledge of cocktails and bar techniques, plus excellent communication and a professional appearance. 1–2 years in a bartender or similar F&B role is preferred. This on-site position offers growth and wellness benefits within MO standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of bar menu, cocktails, ingredients, and presentation standards.
• Follow responsible alcohol service protocols and check guest IDs when necessary.
• Process guest payments accurately using POS system.
• Monitor and control bar stock, report low levels, restock as needed.
• Keep bar tools and glassware sanitized and in good condition.
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming environment.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate when needed.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and safety regulations.

About The Job

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests in a timely, professional, and friendly manner. The role includes maintaining cleanliness of the bar area, ensuring proper inventory levels, and delivering excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction.

As a Bartender, you will be responsible for the following duties

• Prepare and serve beverages according to recipes and customer preferences.
• Greet guests at the bar, take orders, and provide recommendations when needed.
• Ensure the bar area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Maintain knowledge of bar menu, cocktails, ingredients, and presentation standards.
• Follow responsible alcohol service protocols and check guest identification when necessary.
• Process guest payments accurately using POS system.
• Monitor and control bar stock, report low inventory levels, and assist with restocking.
• Keep the bar tools, glassware, and equipment sanitized and in good condition.
• Engage with guests to create a welcoming and enjoyable environment.
• Handle guest complaints or issues professionally and promptly, escalating when needed.
• Comply with all food safety, hygiene, and safety regulations.
