Job summary

Domus Restaurant in Kuching, Malaysia, is seeking customer-focused service staff to greet guests, take orders, upsell beverages and desserts, and ensure accurate dining experiences.

Responsibilities

• Take and serve food and beverage orders as directed by supervisors.

• Prepare tables, welcome guests, and ensure correct table setup.
• Ensure proper handoff from kitchen to guest and maintain service flow.
• Support opening/closing procedures and assist teammates as needed.

Job description

Following orders from the Manager and supervisor as instructed and guided according to the direction given

Responsible for handling food and beverage orders and serving guest

Assist fellow team members to perform preparations and setting up in restaurant for food service and ensure all is available amenities and utensils are properly stocked and inspected prior to service

Assist guests on their respective requests, conduct suggestive and upselling, well versed in all aspects of the menu

Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service always

Ensure good communication with management

Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items

Prepare and check tables before service

Clear and reset tables

Ensure that all company practices and procedures are met when delivery food from the kitchen to the guest

Ensure the overall cleanliness and order of the restaurant tables, chairs, floors and service station always

Ensure all cleaning duties are complete in allocated times to the company standards

Complete all opening and closing procedures

Must be proficient in effective and efficient table maintenance

Always be assertive and attentive

Have a thorough knowledge of all product and services procedures

Promotes coffee consumptions by educating customers, selling coffee, coffee grinding and brewing equipment, accessories along with pastries or desserts

Welcomes guest by determining their coffee interests and needs.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness around all dining and work areas and ensure all colleagues clean their stations before and after service.
