Job summary

Bottega Mediterranea Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a passionate Bar Supervisor to lead our bar team, uphold service standards and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

You will supervise daily bar operations, mentor bartenders, ensure cocktail quality, manage stock, and maintain hygiene and safety across shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of bartending or bar operations experience.
• Supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverage service.
• Strong communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Guest-focused and able to work in a team.
• Organised and able to work efficiently during busy periods.
• Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily bar operations to ensure smooth workflow.
• Provide excellent guest service and beverage recommendations.
• Supervise and coach bartenders and bar runners.
• Ensure cocktails, wines and beverages meet recipes and presentation standards.
• Monitor bar stock, inventory, FIFO, and storage.
• Track costs and wastage and report issues.
• Coordinate with FOH and Kitchen for smooth service.
• Maintain hygiene and comply with safety and alcohol service SOPs.

Bottega is a non-halal Italian F&B company focused on authentic Italian cuisine, quality beverages and genuine hospitality. We are looking for a passionate and experienced Bar Supervisor to support our bar operations and deliver an excellent guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

Bar Operations – Supervise daily bar operations and ensure smooth workflow, service efficiency and proper opening and closing procedures.

Guest Service – Provide excellent guest service, assist with beverage recommendations and handle guest feedback professionally.

Team Supervision – Supervise, guide and support Bartenders and Bar Runners while maintaining teamwork and service standards.

Beverage Quality – Ensure cocktails, wines and other beverages are prepared according to approved recipes, portion and presentation standards.

Stock & Inventory – Monitor bar stock, support stock counts and ensure proper storage, labelling and FIFO rotation.

Cost & Wastage – Monitor product usage, breakages, spoilage and wastage and report any issues accordingly.

Team Coordination – Work closely with the FOH and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth communication and daily service.

Hygiene & Safety – Maintain bar cleanliness and ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, responsible alcohol service and company SOPs.

Requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in bartending or bar operations, with supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.

Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverage service.

Good communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Guest-focused and able to work well in a team.

Able to remain organised and work efficiently during busy service periods.

Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
