Job summary

Glassmansion KL is seeking an experienced Bar Manager to oversee nightly operations and lead the team. The successful candidate will help deliver excellent guest service while ensuring the bar runs smoothly, safely and profitably.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, scheduling shifts, managing beverage and shisha stock, and enforcing licensing and safety requirements to meet revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience managing or supervising a bar.
• Strong leadership, communication and customer service skills.
• Good understanding of beverage service, stock control and cash handling.
• Able to work evening and late-night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Shisha experience is an advantage.
• Willing to assist with hands-on service and closing duties when needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations, including opening, service and closing.
• Lead, supervise and support bartenders, service crew and other bar staff.
• Prepare staff schedules and coordinate duties during each shift.
• Ensure guests receive attentive, professional service and resolve issues promptly.
• Monitor beverage and shisha stock, place or coordinate orders, and minimise wastage.
• Check sales, cash handling and end-of-shift reports for accuracy.
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and hygiene across the bar and work areas.
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report repair or supply needs.
• Train staff on service standards, drink preparation, safety and operating procedures.
• Support sales initiatives and work towards the bar’s revenue targets.
• Ensure the team follows applicable licensing, safety and responsible alcohol service requirements.

Salary: RM4,000–RM8,000 per month
Working hours: 5:00 PM–2:30 AM
