Job summary

Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur invites an experienced Hospitality Supervisor to oversee the smooth daily operations of Lobby Lounge, banquets, and events. You will ensure top-tier service, quality food and beverage execution, and impeccable cleanliness across all assigned areas.

Lead, train, coach, and engage team members through scheduling, performance management, and guest-focused initiatives. Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Sales & Events, Housekeeping, and other departments to deliver

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher qualification in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years in Food & Beverage operations with supervisory or assistant managerial responsibilities.
• At least 1 year in a similar hotel/hospitality role.
• Strong knowledge of F&B operations, banquet services, guest relations, and service standards.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English; other languages a plus.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and reporting abilities.
• Cost awareness with budgeting and inventory control knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and ensure the smooth daily operations of Lobby Lounge, banquets, and events.
• Maintain exceptional service standards in line with policies and brand expectations.
• Ensure consistent quality of food, beverages, service delivery, and cleanliness.
• Lead, supervise, and develop team members through scheduling, training, and coaching.
• Enforce grooming, punctuality, and performance standards among staff.
• Handle guest feedback and inquiries promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, Sales & Events, Housekeeping, and other departments.
• Ensure accurate communication and execution of all banquet details.
• Monitor inventory, equipment, breakage, and cost controls.
• Support cost control initiatives across labor, supplies, utilities, and inventory.
• Review guest feedback and service performance to identify improvements.
• Identify operational enhancements to improve quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, fire, and workplace safety regulations.
• Prepare operational reports and perform other duties as assigned by management.
