Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks a Baker/Pastry Chef for Segambut's International School Canteen. You will bake breads, adjust oven temps, and craft fillings for cakes and pies in a fast-paced kitchen.

Experience in baking and knowledge of kitchen equipment, plus food-safety understanding are required; culinary school certification is a plus. Full-time role with meal provided and promo opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Experience as Baker or Pastry Chef
• Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Certification or degree from a culinary school is a plus

Responsibilities

• Bake different bread types (pretzels, baguettes, multigrain bread)
• Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
• Mix fillings for cakes and pies (e.g., chocolate ganache, caramel sauce, fruits)
• Track food supplies and place orders as needed

Location : SEGAMBUT (International School Canteen)

• Bake different bread types, like pretzels, baguettes and multigrain bread
• Adjust oven temperatures to ensure proper baking
• Mix various ingredients to create fillings for cakes and pies (e.g. chocolate ganache, caramel sauce and fruits)

Track food supplies and place orders, as needed

Requirements

• Experience as a Baker, Pastry Chef or similar role
• Familiarity with all professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
• Certification or degree from a culinary school is a plus
