Job summary

dtcpay is a MAS licensed payment service provider expanding globally, seeking a Backend Engineer to design and build payment and wallet infrastructure using Java and microservices. You will contribute to core financial systems, ensure scalability, security, and high availability in a fast-paced engineering environment.

The role requires 5+ years of Java backend development, strong knowledge of Spring, MyBatis, databases, and messaging systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Java backend development across the full project lifecycle.
• Proficient in Core Java, Spring frameworks, Spring Boot, and MyBatis.
• Experienced with MySQL and PostgreSQL; able to optimize SQL.
• Understanding of message queues and Redis caching.
• Hands-on microservices architecture, service design and distributed systems.
• Broad tech knowledge: databases, networking, security and performance.
• Strong communication; English and Mandarin collaboration with vendors.
• Role is fully onsite in the office.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop core payment/wallet systems, ensuring stability and security.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain microservice modules.
• Participate in technical reviews and drive code quality and standards.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and QA teams to deliver requirements.
• Contribute to performance optimization, troubleshooting, and incident response.
