Job summary

Bybit in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Backend Engineer to join the wealth management platform. You will design, develop and maintain backend feature modules using Golang, with emphasis on MySQL, Redis and Kafka to ensure performance and data integrity.

You will collaborate across teams, review code, document features, and contribute to system architecture discussions. A CS degree and 3+ years in backend development are expected, with strong knowledge of distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field
• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Solid CS fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, OS, networks)
• Proficient in Golang, Java, C++, or Rust
• Familiar with MySQL (indexing, isolation, slow query analysis); Redis cache design
• Familiar with message queues (Kafka) and RPC frameworks (gRPC/Thrift)
• Familiar with Linux operations
• Proficient with Git; CI/CD workflows

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend feature modules for wealth management using Golang
• Independently design technical solutions for business requirements and participate in architecture discussions
• Design MySQL schemas, write SQL, and optimize performance for stability and data consistency
• Use Redis and Kafka for cache strategy and asynchronous processing
• Monitor, alert, and troubleshoot production systems
• Write high-quality technical docs, perform code reviews, and contribute to engineering quality
