Job summary

Kuala Lumpur Kepong Berhad (KLK), founded in 1906, is a Malaysian multinational with core businesses in oil palm and rubber plantations and a growing manufacturing footprint. We seek an HT Electrical Technician to manage the electrical systems in our Biogas Plant, plan preventive and predictive maintenance, and liaise with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and TNB to ensure uninterrupted power.

The role requires 2–3 years of experience, shift work, and good English and Bahasa Malaysia; the ideal candidate is

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical systems in industrial plants.
• Knowledge of Low Voltage and High Voltage distribution.
• Experience with gas engines and generators is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for HT electrical systems in the Biogas Plant.
• Plan, coordinate, implement and monitor preventive, predictive, breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting for LV, HV, gas engines and generators.
• Liaise with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and TNB on related matters.
• Ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to the National Grid.

Job description

Responsible for the HT electrical systems in the Biogas Plant.

Plan, coordinate, implement & monitor preventive, predictive, breakdown maintenance and troubleshooting of the:
i. Low Voltage electrical supply and distribution.
ii. High Voltage equipment.
iii. Gas Engine and Generators system.

Liaising with Suruhanjaya Tenaga and TNB on any related matters.

To ensure all equipment is running in good condition and no interruption to the supply of electricity to the National Grid.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of working experience in the related field is required.
• Able to work on shift and as and when required.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated and hardworking.
• Responsible and able to work independently.
• Alertness, attention to details and can work under stress.
• Knowledge in Mechanical work
