Job summary

HTC Global Services MSC Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Cloud/Migration Engineer to plan and execute AWS migrations from on-premises or legacy environments. You will design and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS) and implement IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.

The role involves supporting database migrations with DMS/SCT, building CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring security, DR, and high availability. Collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure and migration experience.
• Strong knowledge of EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for automation.
• Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Shell.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline).
• Understanding of security, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.

• Perform application rehosting, replatforming, and infrastructure modernization.
• Design, provision, and manage AWS infrastructure, including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and RDS.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Support database migration and modernization using DMS and SCT.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate provisioning and deployments.
• Troubleshoot, optimize, monitor, and perform root-cause analysis of cloud infra.
• Implement cloud security, backups, DR, and high-availability solutions.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure successful migration and handover.
• Prepare migration plans, deployment procedures, and operational guidelines.

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Proven hands-on experience in AWS cloud infrastructure and migration projects
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation
• Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, security, and production troubleshooting
• Experience with scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or Shell
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline
• Understanding of cloud security, high availability, disaster recovery, and cost optimization
