Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd in Kuala Lumpur seeks an AVP, WB Business Finance Analyst to drive budgeting, forecasting and management reporting within the Finance & Corporate Services Division.

You will prepare materials for reviews with senior management and board, monitor performance, manage costs, and provide analytics and risk/opportunity insights to product and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant banking experience, preferably in Business or SME Banking.
• Strong analytical capability with fluency in English and Excel.
• Ability to work in a multi-function, multi-discipline team environment.
• Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA/CPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management reporting, business forecast & planning and annual budgeting within stipulated time.
• Prepare presentation material for business review with group, senior management, board of directors etc.
• Track and monitor segments and products performance vis a vis targets.
• Cost management - review and manage direct expenses within approved budget.
• Provide supporting role to business in financials related matters.
• Provide business analytics and trends as well as competitor analysis.
• Assist to identify the risk and opportunities in business and work with product and sales team to formulate actions to explore the opportunities and mitigate the risks.
• Ensure adherence to Group Policies/Guidelines.
