Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a Manager, Competence Development / Training Manager (Part 145) in Malaysia to oversee training standards aligned with company and National Aviation Authorities. The role requires developing and maintaining technical/non-technical courses, training facilities, and records, with emphasis on safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide training standards acceptable to the company and relevant National Aviation Authorities.
• Acquire or produce suitable technical and non-technical courses for training and development for the Company.
• Maintain training facilities and aids including classrooms, multimedia systems, and training room facilities.
• Ensure Training Needs Analysis (TNA) is performed with collaboration of respective department.
• Maintain training records including continuation training records for all employees.
• Support and conduct technical and non-technical courses as required by the Company.
• Ensure updates of training and qualification records for instructors and trainers.
• Review qualification and training requirements for instructors at least every 24 months.
• Consult with Quality Department on matters pertaining to NAA approval of courses and training.
• Monitor progress of all courses to ensure high quality and performance standards.
• Plan or outsource staff development programs to improve staff competency and knowledge.
• Ensure safety policy execution and compliance with legislation, licenses, and procedures.
• Raise issues with Safety Section if in doubt and ensure adherence to Safety Management Plan and manuals.
• Ensure sound safety practices are regularly observed, with preference for experience in an EASA Part-145 approved maintenance organisation.
