Job summary

Zohorecruit in Selangor, Malaysia seeks a Senior Manager, Technical Services to oversee safety, airworthiness, and in-service reliability, directing the team and representing the company with authorities and vendors.

The role requires leadership in roadmap and vision for the function, balancing maintenance cost with operational reliability for a premium service airline; you will manage vendors, HR aspects, and ensure high service levels across stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering from an internationally recognized university is essential.
• 10 years of working experience, including minimum 5 years of Technical Services experience.
• Aircraft maintenance engineer background is desirable.
• Must possess an understanding of company procedures.
• Must possess an understanding of Part-145 and Part-M.

Responsibilities

• Be accountable for safety, airworthiness, and in-service reliability of the assigned specialization.
• Provide technical leadership over assigned function and be able to provide expert direction to the team.
• Be the focal person and subject matter expert in the assigned function, able to competently and confidently represent company during engagements with national authorities, senior leaders, and vendors.
• Be able to formulate vision for the future trajectory of the assigned function, taking into account evolving technical, regulatory, and business considerations.
• Have a good level of commercial understanding in order to make judgments that optimize maintenance cost against operational reliability, within the context of a premium service airline.
• Manage vendors to ensure service level agreements are adhered to and any performance matters are addressed in a timely manner.
• Manage all direct reports and ensure performance is in-line with expectations for each grade and to ensure all other HR aspects relating to the team are proficiently and expediently managed.
• Maintain close working relationships with all key stakeholders and ensure a high level of service is provided to all internal and external (e.g. FTM) customers.
• Deputize for Senior Manager, Technical Services as required; in his/her absence, his/her duties will be assumed by Senior Executive Engineer, Technical Services.
