Automation Tester (Playwright/ Selenium)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester with expertise in Playwright, Selenium to join Verinon Technology Solutions Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kuala Lumpur. As an Automation Tester specialising in Playwright or Selenium you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through comprehensive automated testing. This position is essential to our quality assurance strategy and directly contributes to delivering robust, bug‑free products to our clients. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated test scripts whilst collaborating with development and quality assurance teams to identify and resolve defects efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Execute automated test suites and analyse test results to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with software developers and quality assurance teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test automation frameworks
• Perform both functional and regression testing to validate new features and ensure existing functionality remains intact
• Identify, document, and track defects using established bug tracking systems, providing clear and detailed reports
• Continuously improve automation scripts and test processes to increase efficiency and reduce testing cycle times
• Participate in code reviews for test automation and contribute to best practices within the quality assurance team
• Support ad‑hoc testing activities and provide technical assistance to manual testers as required

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience with Playwright or similar web automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent)
• Minimum 2 years of experience with testing is require.
• Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, including functional, regression, and performance testing
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and documentation abilities
• Experience with test management tools and defect tracking systems
• Preferred experience with API testing and test data management
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
