Role Description

This full-time Test Automation Specialist role is an on-site position based in Greater Kuala Lumpur. The Test Automation Specialist will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and regression testing. Daily tasks include analyzing requirements, creating test plans and test cases, executing automated and occasional manual tests, and tracking defects through completion. The role involves collaborating with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to refine test strategies, improve test frameworks, and support continuous integration and delivery pipelines. The specialist will also contribute to test documentation, reporting on test results and quality metrics, and recommending improvements to enhance software quality and user experience.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Software Testing, including understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and quality assurance practices.


• Experience with Test Strategy and Test Management, including planning, organizing, and overseeing test activities and resources.


• Ability to design and maintain effective Test Cases and perform accurate Test Execution across different environments.


• Hands‑on experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, UFT or similar).


• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Jenkins, Git) to integrate automated tests into development workflows.


• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on root cause analysis.


• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams in an on-site environment.


• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.


• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps) is beneficial.
