Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Automation Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automated systems, control equipment, and industrial machinery. You will work with PLCs, sensors, motors, robotics, instrumentation, and electrical control systems to ensure efficient operations.

The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, reading electrical drawings, supporting production teams, and driving process improvements while upholding safety standards in a factory setting.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Certificate in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field.
• Experience in industrial automation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLC programming & familiarity with HMI
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, sensors, drives, and instrumentation.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control system faults.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Support production teams in minimizing equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
• Assist in process improvement and automation projects.
