Job summary

Qualifications
- diploma in Automation Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of automation software and control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve automation-related issues effectively.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with automation, operations, DIT, and vendor teams.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and optimize automation equipment and control systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to automation equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and software malfunctions.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated equipment to avoid breakdowns and maintain performance.
- Program and configure automation devices, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), robotic systems, and other control platforms.
- Update software and firmware as required to improve system functionality and support new manufacturing requirements.
- Test automated systems to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and compliance with performance standards.
- Calibrate sensors, actuators, and related components to ensure accurate measurements and reliable operation.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, system performance, downtime, and incidents.
- Provide periodic updates on system efficiency, downtime, and technical issues encountered.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical and software-related issues.
