Qualifications

Job description

We are looking for a Testing Automation Manager to lead and scale test automation capabilities across multiple technology projects. This role will be responsible for developing automation strategies, establishing testing frameworks and best practices, and driving the adoption of quality engineering practices to improve software delivery efficiency and reliability.

Working closely with Development, Business, Infrastructure and Project teams, you will play a key role in embedding automated testing into the software development lifecycle and ensuring quality is built into every stage of delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Strategy: Develop and implement test automation strategies, roadmaps and frameworks aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Automation Framework Development: Drive the design, implementation and continuous improvement of scalable, reusable and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop automation testing teams, ensuring effective delivery across multiple projects and initiatives.
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing, faster releases and early defect detection.
• Quality Engineering: Establish testing standards, governance, best practices and quality metrics to improve test coverage, efficiency and overall software quality.
• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Development, Business, Infrastructure and Project teams to align testing priorities, manage expectations and address quality risks.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimise testing processes, reduce manual effort and strengthen automation coverage across applications.
• Performance Monitoring: Track automation effectiveness, testing progress and quality KPIs, providing regular updates and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience in test automation, quality engineering, software testing or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience in test automation frameworks and automation strategy development.
• Proven experience leading and managing automation testing teams across multiple projects.
• Solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Practical experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, UFT or equivalent technologies.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of test automation governance, quality metrics, testing standards and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across business and technology teams.
• Ability to balance strategic oversight with sufficient technical expertise to guide automation implementation and resolve complex challenges.

Good to Have

• Experience in the insurance, banking or financial services industry.
• Exposure to API testing, performance testing and test management tools.
• Experience collaborating with regional or global technology teams.
• Relevant certifications in Agile, Scrum, Quality Assurance or Test Automation.
