Job summary

Kossan is seeking an Automation Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers, drive automation projects, and enhance equipment reliability to support Industry 4.0 initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong leadership, technical depth in automation, and a track record of delivering operational improvements through cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechatronic or Electrical) from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the automation engineering and maintenance team to maximize equipment reliability, optimize machine performance, and minimize unplanned downtime.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to improve equipment efficiency and plant productivity.
• Drive automation improvement projects, equipment commissioning, and process optimization initiatives in collaboration with Kossan Engineering team.
• Analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot complex automation issues, identify root causes, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Manage engineering maintenance budgets, optimize maintenance costs, and oversee spare parts planning and inventory management.
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, engineering standards, SOPs, and statutory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture.
• Coach, mentor, and develop engineering team members by driving competency development, performance management, and succession planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement, digitalization, and smart manufacturing initiatives.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree inMechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment, including at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
