Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN TRUST RECRUIT SDN. BHD. seeks an Automation Engineer with Europe MNC exposure and compulsory Eplan experience.

The role focuses on designing electrical panels, standardizing control architectures, PLC programming, FAT/SAT support, and cross‑functional collaboration on engineering and manufacturing topics. Minimum 5 years OEM or maintenance experience is required. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering and strong English communication are essential for success

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of OEM or maintenance experience.
• Experience in developing machine electrical panels and control systems from concept to completion.
• Strong knowledge of electrical circuit design and component selection.
• Hands-on PLC programming experience, especially Beckhoff TwinCAT; familiarity with Siemens/Allen-Bradley is a plus.
• Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and process flow charts.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for installation, commissioning and FAT/SAT when required.
• Update diagrams and PLM data; revise manuals post-FAT.
• Prepare installation guides for outstanding electrical/automation work.
• Develop SOPs and work instructions for machine designs.
• Support Production and Service teams with engineering issues.
• Contribute to electrical design database for future projects.

Responsibilities:

Design detailed electrical circuits and justify designs using calculations and fundamental engineering principles.

Select and size appropriate electrical components to meet project requirements, supported by accurate engineering documentation.

Prepare and maintain electrical diagrams and Bills of Materials (BOMs), ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.

Implement and standardize control system architectures and PLC platforms.

Develop machine programming, control systems, safety programs, and HMI programs in line with project specifications.

Perform machine startup, program testing, troubleshooting, and fine-tuning on the production floor according to project timelines.

Provide on-site support for machine installation, commissioning, and customer acceptance (FAT/SAT) when required.

Update and compile electrical diagrams and information into PLM, ensuring manuals and documentation are revised post-FAT.

Prepare installation guides and documentation for any outstanding electrical and automation work after FAT.

Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for machine designs.

Provide technical support to the Production team on engineering issues and assist the Service team with troubleshooting customer concerns.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of an electrical design and standard program database for future projects.

Drive business excellence by engaging in process improvement initiatives and collaborating across departments.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in original equipment manufacturing (OEM) or maintenance.

Proven experience in developing machine electrical panels and control systems from concept to completion, applying sound engineering calculations.

Strong knowledge of electrical circuit design, industry standards, design techniques, simulations, and component selection.

Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams and process flow charts.

Hands-on experience in PLC programming, particularly with Beckhoff TwinCAT (experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley is an advantage).

Proficient in using ePLAN P8 for electrical design.

Solid understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and working knowledge of ERP systems for daily operations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, creative, and team-oriented mindset.

Proficient in written and spoken English
