Job summary

Ak land Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Automatic Electrician to join our Kota Kinabalu-based team. You will install, test, fault-find, and maintain automated electrical systems, PLCs, and related equipment to ensure safe and reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification or trade certificate in electrical installation or maintenance.
• Proven experience with automated electrical systems, control panels, and industrial automation equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and related automation technologies.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations in Malaysia.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical diagrams and technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving and fault-diagnosis skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid electrical license or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automatic Electrician to join the team at Ak land Sdn Bhd. This is a full‑time position based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. As an Automatic Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated electrical systems and equipment. This position is essential to ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely, with responsibility for complex electrical automation systems that are vital to our business continuity.

What you'll be doing

Installing, testing, and commissioning automated electrical systems and control equipment

Diagnosing and troubleshooting faults in electrical automation systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related equipment

Performing routine maintenance and inspection of automated electrical systems to ensure optimal performance

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and electrical schematics

Repairing and replacing defective electrical components and wiring in automated systems

What we're looking for

Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations applicable in Malaysia

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high safety standards

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A valid electrical license or certification relevant to your jurisdiction is preferred
