Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a high-autonomy Payroll Manager to take full ownership of the Australian client portfolio based in Kuala Lumpur. The role combines hands-on Australian payroll execution with client onboarding and direct team leadership.

Lead a KL team of 6–7 Regional Payroll Specialists, manage end-to-end Australian payroll operations (STP Phase 2, PAYG, Superannuation), and ensure SLA governance. Initial 3 months on-site, then hybrid (3 Days WFO / 2 Days WFH).

Qualifications

• Leadership of a payroll team in a regional delivery hub.
• Experience with Australian payroll rules and STP Phase 2.
• Governance, controls and SLA compliance in payroll operations.

Responsibilities

• Directly lead a KL-based team of 6–7 payroll specialists for daily operations.
• Oversee end-to-end Australian payroll processing, including STP Phase 2 and PAYG withholding.
• Handle client onboarding, wage-type mappings, and SOP implementation.
• Provide advisory support on Australian payroll compliance and escalations.
• Ensure quality checks, EOFY returns, and bank submission readiness.
