Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Payroll Outsourcing Team Lead to oversee ANZ payroll services from Malaysia. You will manage a diverse team, ensure timely payroll delivery, and maintain SLAs while coordinating with global teams on onboarding and governance.

You will analyse outputs across payroll calculations, social contributions, billing, and year-end adjustments, driving efficiency and compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on payroll experience in a global payroll outsourcing/consulting environment.
• Proven leadership experience managing a diverse payroll team.
• Strong knowledge of ANZ payroll processes and statutory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and proactive issue resolution.
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to collaborate with global teams on onboarding and governance.
• Experience measuring metrics to drive efficiency and transparency.
• Knowledge of labor laws and compliance in payroll.

Job Description:

Oversee payroll services for a variety of ANZ payroll clients, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Manage daily office operations, including internal payroll, administrative functions, and reporting requirements.

Lead and manage a diverse team of payroll specialists to meet quality and deadline expectations.

Review team outputs, including payroll calculations, social security contributions, billing, invoicing, and year-end tax adjustments.

Drive operational excellence and compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).

Serve as the escalation point for resolving complex payroll issues and providing expert advice.

Ensure internal payroll processes are seamless and efficient.

Collaborate with stakeholders through monthly governance and reporting.

Work closely with global teams on new client onboarding projects.

Handle ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned.

A minimum of 8 years of hands-on payroll experience from a global payroll outsourcing/ consulting environment.

Proven track record of managing ANZ payroll outsourcing and providing end-to-end payroll services for clients.

Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a diverse team in a fast-paced environment

Strong knowledge and professionalism in labor laws, payroll, and statutory compliance.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving payroll and operational challenges.

Proficiency in measuring and improving process metrics for enhanced efficiency and transparency.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken, with fluency in English.
