About the role

We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join LLCO PLT in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead audit engagements and manage client relationships across diverse industries. As an Audit Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality external audit services, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving excellence within our audit practice. This position is integral to our continued growth and reputation for delivering exceptional audit services to our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute external audit engagements for clients of varying sizes and complexities
• Manage audit teams and supervise the work of junior audit staff, ensuring quality and timely completion of assignments
• Develop and implement audit strategies and programmes tailored to client circumstances and risk profiles
• Evaluate internal controls and assess risks associated with financial statement preparation and reporting
• Review financial statements and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with relevant accounting standards
• Liaise with clients to discuss audit findings, recommendations and areas for improvement in their financial controls and processes
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports and communicate findings to management and those charged with governance
• Ensure compliance with professional auditing standards, ethical requirements and regulatory obligations
• Contribute to business development initiatives and maintain strong client relationships to support retention and growth
• Stay abreast of developments in auditing standards, accounting regulations and industry best practices

What we're looking for

• Professional accounting qualification (such as CA, ACCA or equivalent recognised credential) with membership of a professional accounting body
• Minimum 1 -2 years of relevant experience as either Audit Manager or Assistant Audit Manager in audit firm.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and executing full-scope external audits across multiple industries and client sizes
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and relevant auditing standards
• Excellent understanding of internal controls, risk assessment and audit methodology
• Proven ability to manage and mentor junior audit staff effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications
• High level of professional integrity and commitment to ethical standards
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
