Job summary

TGS TW PLT is expanding its Audit team and seeks an Audit Manager who thrives in a leadership role, values team development, and enjoys building strong client relationships. You will lead audit assignments for clients across industries, stay current with accounting standards, and mentor the Audit Associate team while traveling for engagements.

Collaborate with partners to resolve technical issues and drive improvements in processes and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, or professional qualification.
• ACCA/MIA/MICPA/ICAEW or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable in CCH/Inflo System.
• Audit experience in reputable firms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform audit assignments for clients across various industries.
• Keep updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends; ensure compliance.
• Communicate professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information and make recommendations.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audits.
• Collaborate with partners and managers to resolve technical accounting issues.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associates.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documents for accuracy.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (financial due diligence, IPOs, etc.) as necessary.

• Perform audit assignments for clients ranging from various industries.
• Keep updated of changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, and ensure compliance with relevant requirements.
• Communicating professionally within the team and with external parties to gather information, resolve problems and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
• Travel to different states within and outside Malaysia for audit engagements.
• Collaborate with audit partners and managers to resolve technical accounting and auditing issues as they arise.
• Lead and manage a team of Audit Associate.
• Review audit workpapers, financial statements, and other documentation prepared by team members for accuracy and completeness.
• Perform ad-hoc duties (financial due diligence, Initial Public Offerings corporate exercise and etc.), as necessary.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in Finance/ Accountancy/ Banking.
• A member of ACCA/ MIA/ MICPA/ ICAEW or equivalent.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience gained in a professional accounting practice.
• Knowledgeable and experience on CCH/ Inflo System
• Audit experience in well-established professional services firms will be a given preference.
