Job summary

ELISSA GARDEN HALL is seeking an Audio & Lighting Technician to set up, operate, and dismantle sound systems and lighting for events. You will conduct sound checks, adjust levels, and ensure balanced sound throughout performances and meetings.

The role involves coordinating with clients to tailor lighting environments, making real-time adjustments during events, and maintaining equipment safety and organization on-site.

Qualifications

• Setup and dismantle sound systems, microphones, speakers and related audio equipment.
• Conduct sound checks and adjust audio levels, EQ and gain for balanced sound.
• Operate audio equipment during events, meetings, and performances.
• Monitor sound quality and troubleshoot issues such as feedback and connectivity.
• Maintain and organize audio gear and cables.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of all audio equipment.
• Set up and operate basic lighting equipment for events.
• Adjust lighting levels, colours, positioning, and effects per client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients to understand desired lighting atmosphere.
• Make real-time lighting adjustments during events as required.
• Assist with lighting setup, testing and programming.
• Troubleshoot basic lighting and control-system issues.
• Ensure lighting equipment is safely operated and stored.

AUDIO & LIGHTING TECHNICIAN @ELISSA GARDEN HALL

Set up, operate, and dismantle sound systems, microphones, speakers, mixers, amplifiers, and related audio equipment.

Conduct sound checks and adjust audio levels, EQ, gain, and other settings to achieve clear and balanced sound.

Operate audio equipment during events, performances, meetings, and other productions.

Monitor sound quality throughout events and make adjustments as required.

Troubleshoot and resolve audio issues such as feedback, distortion, connectivity problems, and equipment failure.

Maintain and organize audio equipment, cables, microphones, and accessories.

Ensure all audio equipment is safely stored, handled, and maintained.

Set up and operate basic event and stage lighting equipment.

Adjust lighting levels, colors, positioning, and lighting effects according to the client’s requirements and preferences.

Coordinate with clients and event organizers to understand their desired lighting setup and atmosphere.

Make real-time lighting adjustments during events as required by the client or production team.

Assist with lighting setup, testing, focusing, and programming.

Troubleshoot basic lighting and control-system issues.

Ensure lighting equipment is safely operated, handled, and stored.
