Job summary

Racer Technology Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistics/Customs Clearance Specialist to manage import and export clearance in Kulai, Malaysia. You will ensure accurate classification, prepare essential documents, and liaise with brokers and freight forwarders to meet deadlines.

The role requires 2–4 years in customs clearance or logistics operations, with a strong knowledge of local and international regulations, and attention to detail to support audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Manage the customs clearance process for import/export shipments.
• Ensure compliance with customs laws, including classification and declaration of goods.
• Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners for timely clearance.
• Prepare and submit customs documents such as declarations, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and invoices.
• Maintain detailed records of import/export transactions for audits.

Job description

Manage the customs clearance process for all import and export shipments.

Ensure that all shipments comply with customs laws, including proper classification and declaration of goods.

Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other logistics partners to ensure the timely clearance of goods.

Prepare and submit customs documents such as import/export declarations, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and commercial invoices.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all documentation required for customs processes.

Maintain detailed records of all import/export transactions for audit and compliance purposes.

Stay updated on changes to customs regulations, tariffs, taxes, and duties.

Manage the application of necessary permits and licenses related to import and export activities.

Ensure compliance with JKKP (Department of Occupational Safety and Health) requirements, particularly for controlled, hazardous, or regulated materials.

Ensure compliance with DOE (Department of Environment) regulations, including environmental permits, scheduled waste declarations, and environmental-related import/export approvals.

Coordinate with JKKP and DOE authorities during inspections, audits, or regulatory inquiries related to customs and logistics activities.

Basic Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.


• 2–4 years of experience in customs clearance, import/export, or logistics operations.


• Familiar with customs regulations and documentation.


• Strong knowledge of local and international customs laws.


• Strong knowledge of JKKP and DOE regulations.


• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation.


• Excellent communication skills to liaise with authorities, agents, and internal stakeholders.


• Strong problem-solving skills to handle customs clearance, compliance, and regulatory issues effectively.
