Job summary

Ansell is a global leader in protection solutions and is seeking a Packaging & Artwork Coordinator in Kulim. You will plan packaging material requirements, manage supplier PO processes, monitor inventory, and support artwork development through the Artwork Web Center to ensure production continuity.

You will also collaborate with QA and R&D, support indirect purchasing, and help ensure packaging meets quality standards while adhering to Lean and GMP practices.

Qualifications

• Preferably with Degree/Diploma / Equivalent work experience.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic knowledge of MRP systems and software is a plus.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Able to work well with different departments.
• Strong follow-up and expediting abilities.
• Capable of planning and managing raw and packaging material inventory to ensure smooth production and packing operations.
• Experienced in handling production orders to meet packing schedules for finished goods.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to POs and delivery schedules.
• Review stock and requirement lists to validate PLOs within the designated time frame.
• Convert confirmed PLOs into POs and process them promptly.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of packaging materials for production continuity.
• Replenish local packaging materials required for production operations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of packaging materials against budgeted targets.
• Collaborate with production, planning, QA and R&D to ensure packaging materials meet specs.
• New Artwork Development: coordinate with Production, Suppliers, and MDM to initiate packaging materials and liaise with packing/engineering for materials.

Ansell is looking for a Packaging & Artwork Coordinator to join our team in Kulim!

In this position you will be responsible for planning and managing packaging material requirements for Kedah A and Kedah B, ensuring the timely and accurate supply of materials to support uninterrupted production. This includes coordinating with suppliers on purchase orders, resolving any supply or delivery issues, and closely monitoring inventory levels to maintain optimal stock. Additionally, support is provided for the development of new packaging, including managing artwork through the Artwork Web Center. The role also involves assisting in indirect purchasing activities for both locations. Collaboration with the Quality Assurance (QA) team is essential for evaluating new suppliers and addressing any supplier quality concerns. Close coordination with the Research & Development (R&D) team is maintained for new projects, while ongoing support is provided to the Master Data Management (MDM) team for implementing system changes or adding new items.

What your role will be?

• Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues related to purchase orders (POs) and delivery schedules.
• Review stock and requirement lists to validate and firm Planned Orders (PLOs) within the designated time frame.
• Convert confirmed PLOs into purchase orders and process them accurately and promptly.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of packaging materials for production continuity.
• Replenish local packaging materials required for compounding, glove dipping, and processing operations.
• Monitor and manage inventory levels of packaging materials, ensuring alignment with budgeted targets.
• Collaborate with production, planning, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure packaging materials meet technical and quality specifications.

2)New Artwork Development

• Coordinate with Production, Suppliers, and the Master Data Management (MDM) team to initiate and manage the creation of new packaging materials.
• Support the design, development, and implementation of new packaging materials in accordance with operational and quality standards.
• Liaise with the packing and engineering teams for the purchase of thin plates used in the stamping process.
• Participate in the evaluation and qualification of new suppliers in collaboration with the Quality Assurance (QA) team, ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.

4)Supplier Quality Management

• Liaise with the Quality Assurance (QA) team to manage and resolve supplier quality issues, ensuring materials meet required specifications and performance standards.
• Liaise with the Packing and Warehouse teams to address and resolve any issues related to incoming packaging materials.

5)Others

• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, Lean principles, Group standards, Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety regulations, GMP, and 5S practices at all times.
• Actively participate in tasks and initiatives related to continuous environmental improvement, both internally and externally driven.
• Carry out any additional responsibilities as assigned by management from time to time.
• Support the sourcing and procurement of indirect materials and services for both Kedah A and Kedah B
